Saw Hotel Rwanda again!

Still REALLY powerful. The topic is just SO dreadfully important, especially with Darfur going on. Hotel Rwanda has now been widely released! Go see it.

CHEYENNE - Wyoming's suicide rate now is the highest in the United States.

Statistics from the American Association of Suicidology show that in 2002, 105 people in Wyoming took their own lives. The state has a rate of 21 deaths by suicide per 100,000 people.

The 2002 data is the most recent available.

"We need to do something about that," Dave Smith of Laramie said. "We don't want to be Number 1."

The future rushes forward

17 weeks from now I'll be graduated! I'm not sure what I'll do this summer. I'm thinking I'd like to travel across the US for a while, maybe try selling my novella out of the trunk of my car then drive back to Cheyenne for frontier days to sell it to Rodeo peeps (after all it is a "theological western"). Then I'm off to Philly, or Kenya, or somewhere. I'm going to miss Eugene, it has truly become home.
Peace,
Chris

Also, for all the U of O folk

If you want to help keep the Commentator alive email the pfc pfc@gladstone.uoregon.edu I'd recommend doing so, because freedom of speech is something we should never take for granted.
